Olde Towne Butcher offers classes in our shop. One of the most popular classes is Sausage Making. In this class, the participants learn about food safety, knife handling, and how to mix spices with meat to create delicious sausages at home. They get hands on experience cutting the meat, mixing the spices, using the grinder to prepare the meat and stuff the casings, as well as linking the sausages. The $40 fee includes a textbook and five pounds of the sausages made in the class. Print the Handout

 

 

Another popular class offered is Chicken Cutting. In this class, the participants learn about food safety, knife handling and how to cut up whole chickens for frying, grilling or roasting. The $45 fee includes two Bell & Evans whole chickens and a professional boning knife (the same kind we use in the shop). Print the Handout
