Olde Towne Butcher is a family-owned butcher shop and market located in historic Downtown Fredericksburg. We proudly offer local, clean, humane, and sustainable products to our community. As whole-animal butchers, we can provide any cut you need.
We believe in great-tasting, clean, minimally processed foods. That means buying locally, knowing our sources, and supporting responsible farming. We want everyone to be able to eat this way.

Our Philosophy
We are passionate about clean, great-tasting food that is produced sustainably and humanely. That means buying locally whenever possible and building relationships with farmers we trust and understand. We don’t sell products that have been unnecessarily exposed to antibiotics, hormones, or harmful chemicals.
We also believe in being responsible stewards of the environment. Beyond sustainable food production, we aim to use packaging and materials that are reusable, recyclable, or compostable whenever possible.

Local Beef
This is the best-tasting beef around. Steaks, roasts, specialty burgers, ribs, stuffed items, meatloaf, and more.
Local Pork
You will not find better chops, bacon, pork belly, or sausages. Our sausages are made in-house fresh daily.
Poultry
All of our chicken is trimmed Bell and Evans, air-chilled chicken. There is no water weight in this chicken! All cuts and pieces are available. Many pre-seasoned options are available. We also carry other specialty birds.
Dairy
We sell South Mountain Creamery, glass-bottled milk, butter and cheeses. We also offer the greatest, local ice cream sandwiches on the planet. Don’t eat one if you don’t want to get hooked!

Fresh Produce
Plenty of local produce is on hand when in season and there is always something to compliment your meal!

We carry Boar’s Head products because they are minimally processed.

Lots of great local and craft beers as well as a great selection of wines.

From elk and venison to duck and ostrich, our exotics are thoughtfully sourced and cut with the same care as everything in our case.
